Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary draws, and specimen collection following strict protocols
- Ensure accurate labeling, processing, and transportation of lab specimens
- Maintain sterile techniques and infection control standards
- Provide patient education and comfort during blood collection procedures
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including centrifuges and analyzers
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure timely lab result delivery
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent required
- 1+ years of clinical phlebotomy experience preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems and lab software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in specimen handling
- Must pass background check and drug screening
