Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws accurately and safely
- Process and transport specimens to the lab with proper documentation
- Maintain sterile equipment and infection control protocols
- Provide exceptional patient care and comfort during procedures
- Update electronic health records with precise specimen data
- Collaborate with clinical staff to optimize workflow efficiency
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and OSHA safety standards
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques and specimen handling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid CPR certification
- Background check and drug screen clearance required
