Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine venipunctures and capillary blood draws on adults, adolescents, and children.
- Verify patient identity and ensure strict adherence to safety and infection control protocols.
- Properly label, process, and store specimens to ensure laboratory integrity.
- Communicate effectively with patients to alleviate anxiety and explain procedures clearly.
- Manage administrative duties, including updating patient records and requisition forms.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification required.
- Active California Phlebotomy License (if applicable by state regulation).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
