Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws following strict protocols
- Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing
- Maintain sterile equipment and infection control standards
- Verify patient identity and prepare specimens for transport
- Document procedures and maintain electronic health records
- Provide patient education during blood collection procedures
- Collaborate with nursing and laboratory teams
- Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25 lbs
