Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Administer medication reminders and monitor clients for any changes in health or mood.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, including engaging in conversation and recreational activities.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and light exercises as prescribed by a nurse or physician.
- Document daily care logs and report any incidents or concerns to the Care Manager immediately.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification in the state of Maryland is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Previous experience in home health or long-term care is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods as required by the job.
- Pass a thorough background check and drug screen.
