Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning
- Lead experimental validation of quantum systems using superconducting qubits and photonic processors
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Publish high-impact research and present findings at international conferences
- Secure $1M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Published research in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and algorithm design
- Hands-on experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proven track record of securing research funding
