Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and following hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatments, promptly reporting any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and continuous patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and nursing interventions.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in the State of Texas.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required; other certifications (PALS, TNCC) preferred based on unit assignment.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
