Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Monitoring: Conduct thorough physical assessments, monitor patient vital signs, and document clinical findings accurately in electronic health records.
- Medication Management: Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments while adhering to strict hospital protocols and safety guidelines.
- Collaborative Care Planning: Work closely with physicians, specialists, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Crisis Intervention: Respond rapidly to medical emergencies and provide critical care support to stabilize patients in urgent situations.
- Patient Advocacy: Serve as the primary advocate for patient rights, ensuring comfort, dignity, and clear communication regarding care plans.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications must be current.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting is strongly preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in electronic medical record systems.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
