Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for post-cardiac surgery patients
- Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms, hemodynamic parameters, and ventilator settings
- Administer medications via IV, PCA, and infusion pumps with precision
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for complex patient care planning
- Implement evidence-based cardiac protocols and rapid response interventions
- Document patient assessments and care using Epic EMR system
- Mentor new staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (BRN # required)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 2 years critical care experience
- BSN degree (or enrollment in BSN program)
- Experience with arterial lines, PA catheters, and temporary pacemakers
- Strong knowledge of cardiac pathophysiology
- Exceptional critical thinking and emergency response skills
