Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiac patients, including pre/post-operative monitoring and emergency response
- Administer medications, treatments, and diagnostic procedures per physician orders
- Collaborate with cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health, medication management, and lifestyle modifications
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EMR systems
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state
- BSN degree required (MSN preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care cardiology experience
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EMR system
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
