Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rate, ensuring all data is accurately documented in electronic health records.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, with dignity and respect.
- Provide nutritional support by feeding patients according to dietary restrictions and physician orders.
- Implement infection control measures and maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and physicians to report changes in patient condition or concerns immediately.
- Move patients safely using proper body mechanics and assistive devices to prevent injury.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Colorado CNA License required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team during night shifts.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with patient mobility.
