Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, develop, and implement comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and response to interventions, escalating care as necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and clinical notes.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and critical events within the unit.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the State of North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a high-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to provide patient-centered care with empathy and professionalism.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
