Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist nurses and physicians with medical procedures and safe patient transfers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient environment at all times.
- Communicate any changes in a patient's condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Document patient care activities and observations in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Current and valid CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license in the State of Florida required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred but not always required for top candidates.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
