The Role:
As a Night Shift CNA/Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care, monitor patient vitals, and ensure the safety and well-being of our patients during the night hours. This role requires a high level of autonomy and a commitment to patient advocacy.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) in a home health or telehealth setting.
- Monitor patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report any significant changes to the healthcare team immediately.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care plans, shifts, and progress notes in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff across various time zones and platforms.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and sterile environment for all patients and visitors at all times.
- Collaborate with the nursing supervisor to adjust care plans based on patient feedback and overnight observations.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician, strictly adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or RN (Registered Nurse) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification and current PPD/TB screening results.
- Ability to work flexible night shifts (e.g., 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) without conflict.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Reliable internet connection and a private workspace if working remotely.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
