Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate direct patient care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, reporting any abnormalities immediately to the nursing staff.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and transfer equipment to ensure resident safety.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment by adhering to infection control protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team regarding patient status, concerns, and care plans.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and individual needs, encouraging residents to eat and drink adequately.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (RN preferred for this role).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Previous experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or home health settings is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for helping others.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during weekends.
- Physical stamina to perform the physical demands of the job, including lifting and assisting patients.
