Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, psychological, and social evaluations to determine appropriate nursing interventions.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in strict adherence to physician orders and established protocols.
- Monitor patient health status, identifying changes in condition and reporting critical findings to the healthcare team immediately.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document all patient care activities, assessments, and interventions accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient environment in accordance with hospital safety and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maryland.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital, acute care, or medical-surgical setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective team collaboration and patient education.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Willingness to float between units and adapt to changing patient needs.
