Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in assigned clinical settings including hospitals, clinics, and specialty units
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient assessments accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO standards, HIPAA regulations, and facility protocols
- Provide patient education and support to promote health recovery and prevention
- Adapt quickly to varying patient populations and acuity levels across shifts
- Maintain precise medical documentation and electronic health records
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license in Tennessee (or compact license)
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience in relevant specialty (ER, MedSurg, ICU, etc.)
- BLS/ACLS certification required; PALS or TNCC preferred for certain roles
- Graduation from accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with minimal orientation
- Strong documentation skills and EMR proficiency (Epic, Cerner, etc.)
- Flexibility to work 8-12 hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
