Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in accordance with nursing standards.
- Administer medications and treatments prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosage and timing.
- Monitor patient vital signs and medical conditions closely, alerting physicians to any changes in status.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare team members to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, assessments, and interventions in electronic health records.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, protocols, and regulatory requirements, including OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
