Responsibilities
- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the plan of care established by the registered nurse.
- Monitor patient health status by performing physical exams and complete medical histories; observe and record symptoms, reactions, and progress.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians according to approved nursing procedures and techniques.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to plan, implement, evaluate, and revise patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on healthcare management, disease prevention, and health promotion.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care interventions as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program (Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required).
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a high-paced environment.
- Compassionate, patient-centered attitude with a focus on quality improvement.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Completion of the NCLEX exam and awaiting license issuance (if recently graduated).
