Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care across diverse clinical settings including acute care and outpatient facilities
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and facility protocols
- Accurately document patient assessments, vitals, and care progression in electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and JCAHO standards
- Provide patient and family education on health conditions and discharge planning
- Respond effectively to emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina (or compact state eligibility)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in relevant specialty
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS/NRP preferred
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and medical staff
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and protocols
- Flexibility to work 8-12 hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
