Responsibilities
- Assess patient health issues by taking vital signs, medical histories, and performing physical exams.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient responses to treatments and report any changes or adverse reactions immediately.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and medication management.
- Document patient care activities, including interventions, responses, and outcomes accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California (CA RN License required).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
