Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and formulate individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient conditions continuously and respond immediately to any changes or emergencies.
- Document patient history, symptoms, and care provided accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions and post-discharge instructions.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in the State of Texas.
- BSN degree preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- Proficiency in using computerized medical systems.
