Responsibilities
- Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Perform detailed physical exams, monitor vital signs, and document patient history accurately.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments while adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease management, post-procedure care, and preventative health measures.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and therapists to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist in stabilizing patient conditions.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Michigan.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, preferably in an acute care setting.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong patient-centric approach.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in electronic medical record systems (EMR) and medical technology.
- Compassion: Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic care to diverse patient populations.
