Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Document patient care plans, medical histories, and progress updates accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to develop and adjust patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist in triage when necessary.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Georgia.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required (or equivalent experience).
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
- ACLS certification preferred for certain units.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-paced team environment.
- Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients as required by the job description.
