Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the nursing team or physicians immediately.
- Document patient care plans, interventions, and responses to treatment accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Provide patient education and discharge instructions to promote recovery and prevent readmission.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland.
- Completion of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate demeanor and a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
