Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on nursing diagnoses.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established hospital protocols.
- Document all patient care activities, vital signs, and progress in electronic health records (EHR) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient conditions continuously and respond immediately to any changes, emergencies, or complications.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere strictly to infection control and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the State of North Carolina.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required (ACLS may be obtained during residency).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move patients as required.
