Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care under the direct supervision of charge nurses and preceptors.
- Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatments, reporting any abnormalities immediately.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Document patient medical histories, assessments, and care plans accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic patient recovery.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding their health conditions.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations, utilizing critical thinking skills.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado required.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
- Strong commitment to patient safety, ethics, and professional standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a high-pressure environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies.
