Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Monitor patient vitals, assess conditions, and report significant changes to the healthcare team immediately.
- Clinical Care: Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and electronic health charts.
- Communication: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and assist in code situations as required.
- Patient Advocacy: Educate patients and families on treatment plans and provide emotional support during their hospital stay.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing School with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Licensure: Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Experience: Entry Level candidates are welcome; we provide mentorship and on-the-job training for new grads.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift patients (up to 50 lbs), and work in various environments.
