Responsibilities
- Assess Patient Conditions: Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Administer Medications: Prepare and administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with Team: Work effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Provide Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Document Care: Accurately and timely document patient care activities, changes in patient condition, and interventions in electronic health records.
- Adapt to Shifts: Flexibly rotate between day, evening, and night shifts to meet the needs of the facility.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Compassion: Demonstrated empathy and a strong commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as necessary.
