Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs to identify changes in health status.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Document patient care activities, symptoms, and responses to treatment accurately and timely.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding medical conditions and care procedures.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate life-saving measures when necessary.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients, staff, and visitors by adhering to safety and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Indiana.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN, BSN, or MSN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
