Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, history, and expectations to develop a comprehensive nursing care plan.
- Implement and evaluate patient care plans, administering medications and treatments according to physician orders.
- Monitor and record patient symptoms, reactions, and progress, reporting changes to the healthcare team immediately.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and self-care instructions.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough medical records and documentation.
- Respond to emergencies and perform life-saving interventions as needed.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Missouri required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with a focus on patient safety.
