Responsibilities
- Monitor patient health and record vital signs and medical information accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and care plans.
- Document patient care services, including assessments, treatments, and responses.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and modify individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on post-treatment care and health management.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment while adhering to hospital protocols.
- Respond to medical emergencies and utilize critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and electronic health records.
