Responsibilities
- Comprehensive Patient Care: Conduct thorough health assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans to address diverse patient needs effectively.
- Medication Administration: Safely and accurately administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and coordinated care.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, medication management, and post-discharge care to promote health literacy.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Continuously monitor patient vitals and report significant changes to the charge nurse or provider immediately.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly to patients and staff.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, such as Epic or Cerner.
- Compassion: A strong commitment to patient-centered care and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
