Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and monitor patient vital signs to identify changes in condition.
- Medication Administration: Accurately administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) and patient charts.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to code blue alerts and medical emergencies within the unit.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on discharge instructions, disease management, and preventive care.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Valid, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oklahoma.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse patient populations.
- Compassion: Strong bedside manner and genuine commitment to patient advocacy.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
