Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Perform thorough health assessments and physical examinations to establish accurate patient baseline data.
- Medication Management: Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to strict safety protocols and hospital policies.
- Vital Monitoring: Continuously monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and progress, reporting any deviations immediately.
- Care Planning: Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Documentation: Maintain precise and timely electronic health records (EHR) for all patient interactions.
- Education: Educate patients and families on disease prevention, medication adherence, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
Qualifications
- Education: Must possess an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license issued by the Washington State Department of Health.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications required at time of hire.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to prioritize tasks and maintain accuracy in fast-paced medical settings.
- Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
