Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the nursing supervisor or physician immediately.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, medications, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses to care accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit-specific committees.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program (ADN or BSN) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification preferred for specialty units (available for new hires).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Compassionate attitude with a commitment to patient safety and advocacy.
