Responsibilities
- Conduct Patient Assessments: Perform thorough physical examinations and medical histories to determine the nursing care plan.
- Administer Medications: Safely and accurately dispense prescribed medications while monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Monitor Patient Conditions: Constantly observe vital signs and symptoms to detect any changes in health status.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease prevention, medication management, and post-discharge care.
- Document Care: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with hospital policies.
- Assist with Procedures: Support physicians during examinations and minor medical procedures.
Qualifications
- Active RN License: Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of Florida.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with patients of all backgrounds.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical equipment.
- Compassion: Strong commitment to patient advocacy and empathetic care.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
