Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments of patient health status, documenting findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Medication Administration: safely administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring proper dosages and monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Collaborative Care: Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient status and changes in condition to the healthcare team and patients' families in a clear and timely manner.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency situations, providing immediate care and support according to established protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (ADN or BSN).
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Arizona.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred for certain units.
- Experience: No prior clinical experience required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
