Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in acute care settings with strong clinical judgment
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Document patient assessments and care plans accurately in EMR systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain infection control protocols and safety standards
- Monitor vital signs and respond to emergency situations
- Precept new staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active NYS RN license (required)
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted with 2+ years experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (must maintain)
- Experience in med-surg, telemetry, or critical care units
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to adapt to flexible scheduling needs
- Electronic health record proficiency (EPIC preferred)
