Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care by assessing health status and administering medications.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and preventative care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and medical charts.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies within the nursing unit.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, protocols, and regulatory standards (HIPAA, JCAHO).
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered RN license to practice in Virginia.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred for immediate hire roles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Computer literacy with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
