Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough patient assessments to formulate accurate nursing diagnoses and care plans.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with physicians, pharmacists, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Education: Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records, interventions, and responses to treatment.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies and critical situations within the clinical environment.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality assurance activities and unit improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or Virginia.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required; PALS preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Technology: Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and medical equipment.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and varying shift schedules.
