Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based practice.
- Administer medications, treatments, and medications via various routes while strictly adhering to safety protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs, pain levels, and response to treatments; intervene immediately in emergencies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient encounters in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to ensure a cohesive and effective care continuum.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards (CMS, Joint Commission, etc.).
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (Travel and per diem candidates welcome).
- Strong proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
