Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and compliance.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans for patients in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans promptly in response to changing conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding health conditions, treatments, and preventative measures.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
