Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on medical needs.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic procedures in strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions continuously to detect changes and respond immediately to emergencies.
- Document patient history, symptoms, and treatment progress accurately in electronic health records.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic patient treatment.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, medication adherence, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized nursing unit while adhering to infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
