Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and established nursing protocols.
- Monitor patient health and promptly report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by following infection control policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, protocols, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington DC or Virginia.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Computer proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
