Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Document patient care plans, interventions, and responses accurately and timely in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment in compliance with safety regulations.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and critical care needs within the unit.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California (or compact state eligibility).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a high-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as necessary.
- Willingness to travel or work in Virginia locations as per assignment needs.
