Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vitals and records changes in condition, reporting critical data immediately.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred (new grads welcome with relevant training).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently during shifts.
- Commitment to patient safety and infection control standards.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
