Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in medical-surgical units with diverse case loads
- Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations per physician orders
- Monitor patient vitals and document electronic health records accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on health management and discharge protocols
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital safety standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer reviews
Qualifications
- Current California RN license (required)
- BSN degree with 2+ years acute care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends
- Experience with oncology or cardiology units preferred
