Responsibilities
- Monitor patient health and administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop patient care plans.
- Document patient medical history, symptoms, and treatment responses accurately in EHR systems.
- Provide direct patient care, including wound care, IV therapy, and patient education.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Respond to medical emergencies and assist in code blue situations as needed.
Qualifications
- Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS certification preferred for pediatric units.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
