Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatments, escalating concerns immediately to the care team.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and care interventions.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the State of North Carolina.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred; new graduates with a BSN are encouraged to apply.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong clinical decision-making skills and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
